English: AmazonBasics One-Year Limited European Warranty
This Limited warranty is provided by Amazon EU Sàrl of 5 Rue Plaetis, L-2338 Luxembourg,
Grand- Duchy of Luxembourg (Lux. reg. n° B 101818, Share capital: €37500, Trading
authorisation n° 104408) to you as the purchaser of the AmazonBasics branded product(s) (the
“Product”) from Amazon EU Sàrl, for the Product.
If you are a consumer, the rights provided to you under this limited warranty are provided in
addition to all rights and remedies conveyed to you by consumer protection laws and
regulations and do not affect your legal rights.
We warrant the Product to you against defects in materials and workmanship under ordinary
consumer use on delivery and for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery. If the
Product is a consumable product (for example, an ink cartridge), this limited warranty will
expire with respect to the Product as soon as the consumable part of the Product (for example,
the ink) has been partly or totally consumed.
If the Product proves defective during the warranty period, we will ask you to follow the
instructions for returning the Product that we will provide you, and we will take one of the
following actions: (i) replace the Product with a product that is the same or equivalent to the
Product you purchased; (ii) repair the Product; or (iii) refund to you the whole of or part of the
purchase price of the Product. Due to technological advances and Product availability the
replacement Product may differ slightly and may have a lower selling price from the original
Product you purchased.
Replacement and repaired Products or parts provided under this limited warranty will only be
shipped to addresses within the European Union and to addresses within countries of the
European Free Trade Association where the Product is available for sale to customers in such
countries. This limited warranty applies to any replacement Product or part, or to any repair, for
the remainder of the original warranty period or for 90 days from its shipment to you,
whichever period is longer. All parts and Products you return to us and for which we give you a
refund or replacement will become our property, and you agree that any unexpired part of this
warranty on the replaced or refunded Product also transfers to us. Failure to ship the damaged
Product back to us may result in your being charged for the replacement Product at full retail
price.
This limited warranty applies only within the European Union and within countries of the
European Free Trade Association where the Products are available for sale to customers located
in such countries. This limited warranty will not apply to any defect in the Product arising
from fair wear and tear, accident, misuse, negligence by you or any third party, fire or other
external causes, alterations or repair, commercial use or use of the Product in a way we do not
recommend.
